SCENE 1 | Big Bird shows off his new "pet" to the viewer, a turtle named Seymour who wandered over to his nest. The Count arrives and counts Seymour, but says he is not through. He shows Big Bird that there is much more to count than just the one turtle, such as Seymour's one shell, twelve shell spots, four legs, and one head. Seymour leans his head in when he senses someone coming... |

SCENE 2 cont'd | It's evening time when Rosita and Emily run into Gina as she closes her office for the day. Gina learns of Big Bird's "pet" being a wild turtle, and says it's okay for them to head home as she goes to talk with Big Bird. Back at his nest, Big Bird is tucked in with Radar, still worried about Seymour's whereabouts. Gina breaks it to him that Seymour probably wandered away from the park and went back, and that a wild turtle isn't a pet. Big Bird learns that it's unlikely the turtle will return and becomes very sad, though he feels better as he tells Gina what he was like. She decides to stick around and tell him a bedtime story as he becomes sleepier. |
