SCENE 1 Oscar accurately predicts that he'll tell Big Bird to scram and will trick Telly into opening his can of spring-loaded snakes. When Maria comes to give him some trash on schedule, he admits he's grown tired of doing the same Grouchy things every day. She suggests he change things up and he concludes he should find somewhere else to live, with new possibilities to be Grouchy. He wistfully sings that there's "A Grouchy Place" for him out there and he's going to find it.
