SCENE | Elmo and Zoe can’t decide what to play, until Mr. Square shows up and tells them they can play the “Sesame Street Squares” game, where they have to find 7 squares, before a mouse climbs up a grandfather clock to ring a bell at the top. Elmo and Zoe start their search at Hooper’s. | |
SCENE cont'd | When they arrive, they find that Alan is closing temporarily to make a delivery. They discover the “Closed” sign is a square. That makes 1 square! | |
SCENE cont'd | While looking for more squares, they see Bob reading Natasha her favorite story. They see the book and a button on Bob’s shirt are both squares. They have to hurry and find more since the mouse is getting closer to the top. | |
SCENE cont'd | They run into Big Bird and ask him for squares. Big Bird doesn’t have any, but he does decide to help them in their search. They see Cookie Monster taking a cookie eating break and ask him for squares, but all he has are round cookies, but they see his cookie box is square. Oscar emerges from his trash can with his new “Un-welcome” mat, which is also square. They now have 5 squares and need 2 more. | |
SCENE cont'd | Telly shows up with two triangles, which he uses to make a square. Postman Grover comes with a postcard for Mr. Square, which is square also. They discover they have found 7 squares and win the game just before the mouse rings the bell. They win a cow doing the square dance. Mr. Square reads his postcard from his mother, asking him to come home for a square meal. | |
