Intro | My Favorite Sesame Street Moments: Julianne Moore She talks about the song, "The People in Your Neighborhood," and how it taught her about the people in her neighborhood. A clip from the original version is shown.
SCENE | Baby Bear and his family are enjoying their porridge at Hooper's Store, when suddenly Goldilocks appears. She came back to Sesame Street after visiting her Grandmother Graylocks in Florida. Alan asks her if she wants some porridge, but Goldilocks told him that she would just take some of Baby Bear’s. Baby Bear gets mad that Goldilocks always eats his porridge and Goldilocks replies she has to because that how it went in the story, "Goldilocks and the Three Bears."
SCENE, cont'd | Hearing that, Baby Bear corrects her that they are the Four Bears now, but Goldilocks doesn’t believe him. She shows him by counting Papa Bear, Mama Bear, and Baby Bear and proved that there are three bears total, until she noticed Curly Bear. The Bear family introduced Curly Bear to Goldilocks and Baby Bear tells her that they are no longer the Three Bears. Then he tells her that he is going to write a new story that doesn’t involve her eating his porridge. Baby Bear goes off to find Telly to write the new story, while Goldilocks eats all of his porridge
SCENE, cont'd | Out in the yard, Baby Bear and Telly are getting ready to write the new story, “Goldilocks and the Four Bears.” Baby Bear says it would be a different story from the old one and gives us a recap of the original story. After telling the story, Baby Bear hopes to change it so she would not get near her porridge or breaks his chair. So Telly writes the story, while Baby Bear dictates and draws the pictures for it.
|
SCENE, cont'd | In the new story, Curly Bear is added and instead of porridge, she has a bottle of bear milk and honey, which is too hot for her to drink. As the bear family left for their walk for their porridge to cool, Goldilocks appear and tries out the porridge. After tasting Baby Bear’s porridge, Goldilocks noticed the baby bottle and gives it a taste to see if its hot or cold. However, it is just right that she drinks it up. |
SCENE, cont'd | Telly stops the story to tell Baby Bear that it doesn’t seem right for Goldilocks to drink the bottle so she won’t eat his porridge. However, Baby Bear says that he is the writer and he can tell it the way it is. After Baby Bear ends the story with Goldilocks breaking Curly Bear’s high chair, Telly felt shocked that Baby Bear would end the story that way. They both imagine how Curly Bear would feel sad when her bottle has been drank up and her high chair was broken. So Baby Bear tells Telly to cross out what he has wrote and replaces it with a different ending.
|
SCENE, cont'd | The story left off as Goldilocks was about to drink the baby bottle, when her big brother Baby Bear arrived to take the bottle away. When Goldilocks replies that she is hungry, Baby Bear tells her to eat his porridge instead and Goldilocks happily did that. Telly finds that ending more enjoyable, but Baby Bear doesn’t like it because Goldilocks still eats his porridge. After much thinking, Baby Bear comes up with the idea of having Goldilocks eat her own kind of porridge and tells Telly to start a new story. |
|
SCENE, cont'd | In the new revised story, the four bears were about to eat their porridge, but it was very hot after they taste it. Before they went on their walk, Papa Bear brought out a little extra bowl of porridge in case some hungry little golden hair guest girl comes by and Baby Bear also provide a note. As the bear family left, Goldilocks appeared and after testing the temperature of the porridge bowls, she noticed the note that Baby Bear left. She reads it and finds out that the bear family left her a bowl of porridge. She eats it just as the bear family came back and she thanks them for sharing the porridge with her. As she finished it, Goldilocks sits back on her chair and suddenly breaks it. Mama Bear replies that it is just her way and all of them laughed. |
SCENE, cont'd | As Baby Bear ends the story, Telly likes it and replies that it is a new classic. They both decide to read the new story again.
