COLD OPEN | My Favorite Sesame Street Moments: Newelle J. McDonald notes her most respected moment as when Hooper's Store caught fire.
SCENE | Gordon and Alan are playing chess, when the Big Bad Wolf comes along chasing the Three Little Pigs. A whistle blows, signaling their break. The Big Bad Wolf watches the game until Gordon loses and he [the wolf] now gets to play Alan. The wolf loses and blows the board away in a fit. He explains he doesn’t like to lose at chess and goes to join another game.
SCENE cont’d | In the yard, Gordon is playing baseball with Elmo, Zoe and the kids. The wolf steps up to the plate, but strikes out. They try to calm him down, telling him it’s just a game, but he blows them all away anyway.
SCENE cont’d | Big Bad joins Big Bird, Radar and a Dinger in his nest to play the “Guess What's Next Game.” He has a row of a teddy bear and two rabbits, and must guess before the Dinger dings his bell. The wolf struggles to get an answer, but the Dinger rings before he can make a guess. The wolf gets upset once more and blows the toys and the Dinger away. Big Bird tries to talk some sense into the wolf, but gets blown out of his nest area, too.
SCENE cont’d | Alan, Gordon, Zoe and Elmo are playing basketball in the garden, when Big Bird gets blown into them. The Big Bad Wolf comes to join them, but is immediately denied by Big Bird, Zoe and Elmo. Alan and Gordon explain in song that it doesn’t matter if you win or lose, but it's important to just have fun ("You Can't Win 'Em All"). The wolf takes a shot with the ball and misses, but asks to try again instead of huffing and puffing, and he makes it! A whistle sounds, the pigs show up and he resumes chasing the pigs.
