SCENE Alan welcomes the viewer and Big Bird arrives to tell him that his Granny Bird will be visiting today. He wants to do something special for her and hands Alan her recipe for the "World's Best Birdseed Cookies." Alan checks to make sure he has all the ingredients and they're ready to bake.
SCENE cont'd Baby Bear enters Hooper's Store (humming "P is for porridge...") and orders his usual. Unfortunately, porridge is one of ingredients and Alan only has one box. Baby Bear sacrifices the porridge for Big Bird and instead has a bowl of fruit salad. He sends his best wishes to Granny Bird and exits.

SCENE cont'd Alan and Big Bird read the recipe, which dictates they must prepare the cookies with a song. Big Bird wonders how many cookies the recipe will make, when The Count appears and helps them count the lumps of cookie dough they lay in the pan.
SCENE cont'd While the cookies begin to sit in the oven, Cookie Monster follows their scent into the store. He is disappointed to find out the cookies are for Granny Bird. Out of "idle curiosity," he asks what she looks like. Big Bird describes her appearance and runs off. Alan brings the cookies out of the oven, when Big Bird hears someone calling him outside.

SCENE cont'd Big Bird finds Cookie Monster, posing as his Granny Bird. After having a Little Red Riding Hood moment, Cookie's cover is blown when the real Granny Bird arrives. She offers him one and they all share the cookies, except Alan, who claims he's on a low-birdseed diet.
