Gabi and Miles dramatize the story of Rapunzel to Elmo and Zoe. After they finish, Zoe mentions that she wished she had long hair like Rapunzel did.
With a flash, Zoe's Hairy God-person appears to grant her her wish! With a rhyme and wave from his magic curling iron, he gives Zoe longer hair.
Zoe tries out different methods of styling her hair. She soon settles on the "Rapunzel" style, with her long strands braided into the letter "R." Her new hairstyle attracts the attention of a nearby prince, who begs "Rapunzel" to let down her hair. Elmo intervenes and points out that while Zoe has long hair, Rapunzel's hair is longer.
Zoe's Hairy God-person returns, and grants her the wish of longer hair. How will she take care of it, though?
The scene segues over to a dream-like musical performance of "Take Care of Your Hair" (in parody of Hair from the 1967 musical of the same name) with Elmo and Zoe accompanied by brushes, combs, and shampoo bottles.
The Prince returns to approach Zoe with her hair, but it is still not as long as Rapunzel's. Dissatisfied with having merely longer hair, she wishes for hair that's longest. Her Hairy God-Person reappears, and grants her wish. Unfortunately, Zoe's hair is now so long and tangled that she can't move!
The Prince tries climbing her hair (to Zoe's pain) and a police officer writes it a ticket for impeding traffic. Having second thoughts, Zoe now wishes to restore her hair to its original length. Everyone is happy afterwards, with the exception of the Prince.
Meanwhile, Rapunzel herself walks by looking for the Prince. The two then soon unite in happiness...in spite of top-heavy complications!
