	COLD OPEN	What’s the Word on the Street?: Cactus
	SCENE	Elmo walks down the street and welcomes the viewer and he enters Big Bird’s nest area where Abby and Big Bird are waiting. Big Bird alerts Gordon that Elmo has arrived. Big Bird reveals that Gordon is going to read the new “Maria the Cowgirl: The Lonesome Trail” story to them. They explain what a cowgirl is to Abby. Gordon arrives and begins the story…
	SCENE cont’d	Maria the Cowgirl rides the open spaces on her hobble-horse, Amigo, singing her cowgirl song. The readers sing along with her. Maria says howdy to a talking cactus that gets a tumbleweed stuck on him. Maria then runs into the notorious villain, Bad Duck, who believes the trail isn’t big enough for both of them to travel on. She tries moving to different sides of the trail, but Bad Duck always stays in front of her, until they both go in opposite directions of the trail. Maria has solved her problem and rides off into the sunset on Amigo.
	SCENE cont’d	Now that the story is finished, Gordon has errands and must leave. They all want to hear the book again and get the idea to re-enact the story themselves. Elmo and Big Bird argue over who will be Bad Duck and Abby suggests they both be Bad Duck, but then realizes that if there are two Bad Ducks and one Maria, there’s no one to play Amigo. Big Bird and Elmo argue again over the role, so Abby makes Big Bird Bad Duck and Elmo Amigo.
	SCENE cont'd	As their reenactment begins, Abby jumps on Elmo back and rides him around, singing the cowboy song. The come across Bad Duck and try to get past him, when suddenly, the tumbleweed from the book shows up and wants to participate too. Abby suggests the tumbleweed be herself, but she insists on being Maria. Abby lets both of them be Maria and they all sing the cowboy song together.

	Muppets	Murray Has a Little Lamb Murray's lamb, Ovejita, leads him to another secret escuela with the clues of pintura (paint), pegamento (glue), y masilla (clay). The school turns out to be an art school, where kids create art of all kinds. Murray and Ovejita draw and paint pictures of fish with the kids. (First: Episode 4171) Cut from the Sprout version (see Alterations noted below).

	Insert	Chris planned on showing the view the letter of the day, but it was dirty so he’s washing it. In lieu of that, he shows the viewer the letter T in the washing machine.
	Animation	A group of white T's sing "I'm the Letter T" to the tune of "Hey There, Delilah".

	Muppets / Animation	Bert and Ernie's Great Adventures Now cowboys in the old west, Sheriff Ernie and Deputy Bert must find Clarice the Cow, the only source of milk in the area. A singing cactus tells them she’s in Horseshoe Gulch. They head for the town on their “taxi” (a donkey named Speedy). Ernie hears “cow sounds” coming from the saloon and lo and behold, they see Clarice dancing with Billy the Bull. They use the element of surprise to enter, but she reveals that she and Billy are going on a world tour and their carriage is arriving at “high noon”. They try to convince her to stay by making Bert be her dancing partner, but he’s dancing is not up to her standards. Bert believes she could make the world come to her, which touches her and she decides to stay. Ernie, Bert and Speedy enjoy some fresh milk.
	Insert	Now, Chris washes the number of the day, 1.
	Film	In a yoga class, a woman makes the number 1 with her body.
	Animation	A group of 1s chant, "We're the number 1!" (EKA: Episode 3238)
	Muppets	Global Grover: Grover returns from Saskatchewan on his steed Fred. In his film, Jody teaches Shelby how to be a cowgirl on their ranch. Afterward, Grover and Fred find themselves herded by cows! (First: Episode 4061)

	Insert	Chris announces the sponsors and proceeds to clean his "laundry of the day".

	Song	Do the Veggie Dance: First and last verses of this dance are the veggie dance, while the broccoli, mushroom, cucumbers, and corn verses fill up the middle. The kids end the segment by exclaiming righteously "I LOVE VEGGIES!" (First: Episode 4087) This is added before the cavemen segment in the Sprout version
