COLD OPEN What's the Word on the Street?: Hibernate
4193a

4193b

4193b-2
SCENE cont'd As the Bear family finishes up their stock of porridge; Telly rushes in to alert Baby Bear. However, they already know there is a shortage and are preparing to sleep for the next five months, or hibernating until Spring comes, when it’s warm and porridge is plentiful. But, Telly points out that he will have no best friend to play with while Baby Bear sleeps, so they set up a playdate next April. With their alarm set to April, the Bears try to sleep, but find they are unable to. They begin counting until they fall asleep.
4193c
SCENE cont'd Meanwhile, Telly and Chris go over how long until their playdate is, assuming the Bears have already begun sleeping.
4193d

4193e
SCENE cont'd However, the Bears are now up to the 700’s and are still awake. Papa Bear calls the “Bears Being Bears” program and asks for hibernation help. Max Bear, a hibernation consultant, is sent. He finds their cottage too warm and cozy to hibernate in, claiming that the cold is a part of hibernating. He convinces them to go outside and find a cave or hallow tree to sleep in. As they prepare for the cold, they sing about “Being a Bear.”
4193f
SCENE cont'd Once on Sesame Street, they have no success finding a cave or a hallow tree. Max spots a large crate of dirt, which they can use. Convincing them to listen to their “inner bear”, Baby Bear’s instincts tell him they must dig in the dirt for a place to hibernate. They all begin to dig.
4193g

4193g-2
SCENE cont'd Telly muses over the possibilities of the porridge famine being over and being able to wake the bears, when Chris spots them out in the garden. They rush over and find the bears are in the den they have dug. Snow begins to fall, which reminds Telly that he and Baby Bear won’t be able to build a snowman together. Before they sleep, Max insist they eat something first. Chris brings them some Bran Flakes from Hooper’s, which they find just as good as porridge. They decide to live off that during the winter, giving their den to Max, who forgot to make hibernation plans of his own.

He feels cramped inside and refuses to go back in. The bottle, not wanting to be empty, begins hopping around, looking for someone to suck inside. The bottle entraps Mrs. Sparklenose inside, while Gene plans to spend 1,001 nights in Vegas. Abby reminds Gene he needs to grant 3 wishes. Abby wishes for Mrs. Sparklenose to get out of the bottle, with Niblet then taken in his place. Gonnigan rephrases the wish and asks for not one of them to be inside, so he poofs them all inside, thus there is not one. They call on Spot, who shows them a film on “all” and “none”. They wish for all of them to get out and none of them would be inside. The bottle looks for someone to capture and it gets Mrs. Sparklenose again. Gene refuses to switch places with her, not wanting to be in a small space again. They twinkle think and get an idea to magically recycle his bottle with other ones to make a larger one, complete with sliding glass doors so he can leave whenever he feels.
