SCENE | Elmo welcomes the viewer as he makes a drawing using all the colors when he notices a rainbow in the sky. He calls everyone over to see it. Rosita rushes to him, to see her first rainbow, but by the time she looks up, the rainbow has vanished. | |
SCENE cont'd | Leela passes by and finds them looking for the rainbow under the table. She explains rainbows can only be found in the sky and cheers them up by drawing a rainbow for them, using the acronym “Roy G. Biv” to remember the names of the colors. | |
SCENE cont'd | Although Rosita likes the drawing, she still wishes she could see a real rainbow. Elmo gets an idea to make a monster rainbow. He runs off and gets a monster of every color of the rainbow (including Narf and Lulu). They try to get into a formation, but collide and fall to the ground in color order. | |
SCENE cont'd | The monsters pick themselves up and leave, while Rosita still wishes for a rainbow. Abby Cadabby overhears and appears to grant her wish. She tries waving her wand, but gives Elmo and Rosita rain gear. She tries a second time and causes a rain storm. She leaves to consult her mom, while the two monsters head into Hooper's Store for shelter. | |
SCENE cont'd | Inside Hooper’s, Gordon gives Rosita a rainbow using science. He shines a flashlight through a cup of water, which breaks up the white light and separates the colors so they all show, making a rainbow. The rainstorm ends, so the monsters head out. | |
SCENE cont'd | Once outside, Elmo spots a rainbow in the sky. Overcome by its beauty, Rosita and Elmo sing “I Finally Saw a Rainbow." | |

Gonnigan and Abby try to think of how they can wake him up, when Gonnigan remembers he wakes up to the sound of an alarm clock. They go through Mrs. Sparklenose's filling cabinet and find one, but it doesn't wake Blögg up. They call Spot, who shows them videos of mouths. Abby thinks they should kiss him, but when she tries, he stays asleep. Abby checks the Snow White story and finds they need a prince to wake him. She turns Gonnigan into a frog so she can kiss him and make him into a prince. Gonnigan kisses Blögg and he wakes up, and notices the apple and heads for it, with his fairy friends tackling him. | |
