He rollerskates past Hooper's Store, where Chris and The Count watch him crash. Chris helps him up and Big Bird begins feeling a sharp pain in his right wing. Chris offers to take him to the doctor, leaving The Count in charge of Hooper's. Once they leave, The Count begins counting the incoming customers.
SCENE cont'd Chris and Big Bird meet Dr. Berger (Julianna Margulies). She inspects his wing and finds it is swollen and in need of an x-ray.
SCENE cont'd Meanwhile, back at Hooper's, The Count holds up his hungry customers (including Sherlock Hemlock) while counting them.
SCENE cont'd Dr. Berger arrives back with Big Bird's wing x-ray. She finds no broken wing bones and deduces he must have sprained it. She puts him in a sling and advises him to rest it, which means he can't rollerskate.

His friends convince him to use magic to make it grow. He uses his "Gigantic Spell" and turns the plant into a large beanstalk that stretches to the sky, with Peck hanging on. Mrs. Sparklenose has them poof to the top to retrieve her. Once at the top, they discover a giant using Peck as a tiny feather duster. They try to communicate, but they are not heard. They call Spot, who shows them images of ears. Abby makes Gonnigan perform his spell again, so they can be giants and talk to him. They grow to be as big as the giant and swap Peck for a large feather duster. Once back down in the classroom, they find Niblet has grown large by eating parts of the beanstalk. • Considering the episode's sponsoring letter X, as well as the x-ray storyline, Ex Ray, a character who had previously appeared on Scrubs, fittingly reappears in Hooper's Store for the scene with Sherlock Hemlock (a character incidentally known for his fondness of the letter X as well).
