His friends convince him to use magic to make it grow. He uses his "Gigantic Spell" and turns the plant into a large beanstalk that stretches to the sky, with Peck hanging on. Mrs. Sparklenose has them poof to the top to retrieve her. Once at the top, they discover a giant using Peck a tiny feather duster. They try to communicate, but they are not heard. They call Spot, who shows them images of ears. Abby makes Gonnigan perform his spell again, so they can be giants and talk to him. Notes

  • Jerry Nelson cameos as one of the customers waiting in line at Hooper's Store, as well as Herry Monster and Mr. Johnson (two Nelson characters). Also in the line are Molly Boylan and Judy Freudberg.
  • Big Bird's x-ray states the radiologist was C. Spinney, while his physician was Dr. Berger.
  • Considering the episode's sponsoring letter X, as well as the x-ray storyline, Ex Ray, a character who had previously appeared on Scrubs, fittingly reappears in Hooper's Store for the scene with Sherlock Hemlock (a character incidentally known for his fondness of the letter X as well).
  • Lisa Simon directed this episode.[1]
