COLD OPEN | What's the Word on the Street?: Accessory
SCENE | Elmo, Telly and Abby are hanging out, when they hear a cry of "A!" They meet Big A (Ryan Reynolds), who invites them to join the A Team, where they will solve problems using A words. They agree to join and get on some A outfits. A theme song follows. Suddenly, they hear the sound of the letter A being yelled and they follow to see what the problem is.
SCENE cont'd | Baby Bear is trying to get Curly Bear to take her nap, but she refuses. The A Team arrives and brings in the solution - an astronaut doing aerobics while saying the alphabet. Baby Bear doesn't believe it will work, but afterward, Curly plops into her seat and naps. Baby Bear thanks them, when they hear another A-sound cry of distress.
SCENE cont'd | Gina struggles to reach a letter that the wind blew into the tree. The A Team answers her call of help and Elmo fetches some animals. They have apricots on their ankles, irritating their apricot allergies. Their collective sneeze blows the letter from the tree. They hear another A call and head off, while Gina takes the animals to her office for some medical care.
SCENE cont'd | Two pigs are endlessly playing "Rock-paper-scissors" (and tying at "paper") by Oscar's can, bothering him. The A Team attempts to distract the pigs with some A words. Abby conjures up Alan in a rainbow afro, who is then chased by an alligator with an attitude, neither of which help the situation. Big A introduces the "long A" sound and brings in an ape-angel who sings about acorns. Nothing happens once more. Alan returns the afro to the alligator and suggests they ask the pigs to stop. They do so and the pigs halt. Oscar is glad they're done, but is irritated when the A Team begins singing their celebratory theme song, driving him back into his can.
