4237b
SCENE Gordon welcomes the viewer when a Grouch delivery man (Joey Mazzarino) for P-UPS arrives with a bouquet of stinky fish (with extra stink). Oscar claims them and leaves the Grouch without a tip. Oscar explains to Gordon today is Grouchy Mother's Day and his mother is visiting to celebrate. Her plane flies overhead and drops her out. Her luggage comes down, complete with a surprise - Oscar's sister Bunny, who has come to celebrate the day with them, much to Oscar's annoyance. Bob passes by and wishes them a Grouchy Mother's Day (thanks to his "Cultural Diversity Calendar").

4237e
SCENE cont'd Oscar presents his mother his stinky fish, which there are 6 of. Bunny one ups him by saying she has a dozen fish (twice as many). She counts each one as she tosses them out of her bag. The last of which is in her cosmetics case and knocks Oscar over. Oscar and Bunny argue over who's fish are better, while their mother states that they both stink. Oscar's next gift is his mother's favorite perfume, Aude de Skunk #9. Bunny once again puts his gift to shame by giving the same scent, but using a real skunk. They argue again over who's was the worst gift, while their mother thinks they're both bad. Mrs. Grouch is ready for more gifts, but Oscar has something else in mind - a trip to the dump! He snidely asks what Bunny planned; she says she planned nothing, which makes her mother very angry. Bunny gloats, while Mrs. Grouch insists they go to the dump, allowing them to argue on the way.

4237g
SCENE cont'd While Oscar struggles to get The Sloppy Jalopy to start, Chris and the kids pass by and wish Mrs. Grouch a Grouchy Mother's day. Bunny and Mrs. Grouch beg Oscar to get the car started, fearing the next nice thing they'll see. Rosita appears and wishes them a Grouchy Mother's Day in Spanish, then hugs them both, making them furious. Oscar finally gets the car started, but Mrs. Grouch is upset that a Grouch was able to fix a car. Bunny boasts that Oscar is losing his Grouchiness and Mrs. Grouch decides to take herself and Bunny back to Grouchland, fearing both her kids will lose their Grouchiness. Oscar yells out to them, saying he'll prove he's not losing his touch.

4237i
SCENE cont'd Bunny and Mrs. Grouch are packed up and ready to leave. Oscar stops them and shows them his final gift. Gordon, Bob and Chris are dressed in rotten attire and have adopted grouchy attitudes (or as grouchy as they can provide). They then sing an a capella song to Mrs. Grouch about Grouchy Mother's Day. She is so mad at the sweetness of his gift, saying he's ruined Grouchy Mother's Day, which means it was a great success! Oscar rubs it in Bunny's face, who tries to say she ruined the day too. Mrs. Grouch says they both ruined her day, saying not every mother is lucky enough to have two rotten kids. Their plane arrived and they are launched up to it through Oscar's trash can. Oscar wants to thank his neighbors for helping, but then states he's a Grouch and doesn't thank anyone. Chris and Gordon aren't sure what happened, but Bob goes off thinking they still enjoyed the song.

Mrs. Sparklenose helps Abby, Blogg and Gonnigan recycle bottles they brought from home. One of Abby's bottles is dusty, so she rubs it and out comes Gene the Genie. He feels cramped inside and refuses to go back in. The bottle, not wanting to be empty, begins hopping around, looking for someone to suck inside. The bottle entraps Mrs. Sparklenose inside, while Gene plans to spend 1,001 nights in Vegas. Abby reminds Gene he needs to grant 3 wishes. Abby wishes for Mrs. Sparklenose to get out of the bottle, with Niblet then taken in his place. Gonnigan rephrases the wish and asks for not one of them to be inside, so he poofs them all inside, thus there is not one. They call on Spot, who shows them a film on “all” and “none”. They wish for all of them to get out and none of them would be inside. The bottle looks for someone to capture and it gets Mrs. Sparklenose again. Gene refuses to switch places with her, not wanting to be in a small space again. They twinkle think and get an idea to magically recycle his bottle with other ones to make a larger one, complete with sliding glass doors so he can leave whenever he feels.

Once they reach the land, a local crab pierces their floatie, ruining their chances of escaping. Bert tries to write “SOS” for a passing plane, but it doesn’t notice while doing a trick. They spot a passing boat and wave some palm leaves to get their attention, but all the passengers just think they’re saying hi. The crab digs up a bottle for them to put a note in.
