COLD OPEN | What's the Word on the Street?: Measure
SCENE | Outside Hooper's Store, Chris measures Elmo, Abby, Telly and Baby Bear with a growth chart. Elmo is shocked to find Abby's now a little taller than him; he's always been taller than her. He feels upset he's the shortest of the group now, but thinks he has a way to fix it. Elmo runs off and returns with a giant wig, thinking it'll make him taller. However, Chris removes it and they all notice the high-heel shoes he's also wearing.
SCENE cont'd | Abby finds Elmo sulking over his height, when he realizes Abby could make him grow with magic. Abby casts a spell and Elmo grows taller, surprising everyone when he goes to get measured. The spell unexpectedly continues working, making Elmo grow and grow until he's as tall as a building. Elmo doesn't want to go back to normal and Abby's magic spell doesn't fix the problem.
SCENE cont'd | Abby calls her mommy, who tells her the shrinking spell will only work if Elmo wants to be short. The gang comes up with ways to show how being big gets in the way. Elmo is unable to jump rope, find a good hiding spot for hide-and-seek and even get into Hooper's for a snack. Elmo realizes being tall isn't all it's cracked up to be, allowing Abby to return him to normal. Elmo shrinks down to his regular size and enjoys a hug from his friends.

While it makes a suave hairdo at first, it soon begins to grow out of control (while Blogg measures its length using Niblet). Abby tries using a baret and Blogg uses a stove-pipe hat to control his hair, but it ends up getting even longer and grabbing hold of everyone. After a twinkle-think, Abby conjures up Papino the Pixie, a barber who cuts his hair to normal length and the class takes their picture. (First: Episode 4260)

He then places something heavier - an upright piano, which blocks the doorway completely. Grover swings the door open in frustration and it sticks itself over his foot.
