COLD OPEN What's the Word on the Street?: Ridiculous

SCENE Bert plays Angry Pigeons on his phone, when Ernie welcomes the viewer. He has a plan and needs to borrow Bert's phone to make it happen. He plans on making a dance video and his next steps involve handing the phone over to his camera penguin (Busby) and a bringing in a lobster DJ. His next step is getting Bert to dance with him, but Bert wants no part in this and suggests he change the plan. Ernie thinks it's a good idea and includes the viewer in on his dance. Busby records it, but Ernie's plan still isn't over.
SCENE cont'd Ernie still wants Bert to dance, who just wants his phone back still and again says he should change the plan. Ernie includes Mando in his dance, who adds a cha-cha to it. They are filmed and Ernie thinks Bert will join them now, but he thinks otherwise. Ernie changes his plan once more.

SCENE cont'd Ernie adds more steps to his plan, roping in more people to appear in his dance video (including Chris, Alan, Big Bird, Elmo, Snuffy, Abby, Leela, Maria, Luis, Oscar, the kids and others), while Bert continuously declines appearing in it. Ernie's finally ready to put his video up on the Internet, a step Bert wasn't aware of. Now, he wants to be in it, demonstrating the pigeon dance he's been working on. Ernie changes his plan to include his ol' buddy.

SCENE cont'd Bert nervously waits as Ernie posts the video online. In the video, Ernie sings "Change the Plan" over a montage of everyone dancing. Bert is pleased and Ernie tells him of his new plan - playing Angry Pigeons. Bert thinks that's a good plan, then chases after Ernie when he realizes he's walked off with his phone.
