SCENE
Big Bird reads Radar a story, when he falls from the nest. Big Bird gets out to pick him up and discovers another bird has landed in the nest. She introduces herself as Minnie Mynah, claiming to be the new owner of the nest. Even though it's Big Bird's, she reminds him of the bird rule - finders keepers, losers weepers; he left it empty, so anyone can claim it. She's even taken the liberty of altering his mailbox to fit her name. Saddened, Big Bird leaves to find a new nest.

SCENE cont'd
Big Bird tries settling into a much smaller nest outside Hooper's Store. Chris finds him and is told about what's happened, which Chris thinks is wrong. Suddenly, the owner of the nest returns to find her nest now taken by Big Bird. She understands the rule and sobbingly lets Big Bird have it. Big Bird can't bear to see her cry, so he lets her have it back. Chris takes Big Bird back to his nest, determined to set things right.

SCENE cont'd
Chris and Big Bird confront Minnie, who's now furnished the nest with her own stuff. Chris states Sesame Street follows other rules and the bird rules don't apply, then learns the rule was instated by the Bird Supreme Court. Chris decides to take the case to them.

SCENE cont'd
The Bird Court assembles to hear the case. Minnie states what has happened, but Big Bird doesn't stand up for himself. Chris asserts the nest belongs to Big Bird, as confirmed by a passing Snuffy. The Court recognizes the nest belongs to Big Bird, but also state that rules are rules. Before the case is closed, Big Bird finally speaks up with a musical plea ("How Would You Feel"), asking the Court how they'd feel if their nest was taken. The birds would feel sad, but Minnie insists upon the rule. She accidentally knocks over her teddy bear, Stewie, but Chris refuses to return it - finders keepers. Minnie sees how Big Bird must feel and returns his nest, allowing her to get her teddy back. The Court decides to vote to change the unfair rule, declaring birds can't take what doesn't belong to them.

AFFS-Sock
Muppets / Animation
Abby's Flying Fairy School
An awful smell fills the classroom. The source is Blogg's "Schlubby," an old, dirty, smell sock that he treasures. He throws it into some magic mud to make mud pies with, but it comes alive. It starts running around the room, dirtying everything (including Abby). The only way to make him stop is to clean him, which Blogg reluctantly agrees to do. He tries to wash him by licking (like a cat), but ends up lassoing his tongue around Peck. Gonnigan and Niblet turn on a hose and clean Abby, but not Schlubby. Abby twinkle-thinks and gets the idea to use a washing machine to clean him. Although the sock comes out clean, Blogg is happy because now he can get it dirty all over again.

Elmo the Musical: Bird the Musical
Elmo imagines he's a bird; his Mama Bird puts him in charge of watching her egg. Elmo Bird can't go play with his bird friends, when another bird teaches him a dance he can do while sitting. The dance flings the egg out of the nest, with Elmo in hot pursuit. It lands on a farm, during a "Most Unusual Watermelon" competition, where the rooster host declares it the winner, until Elmo Bird explains it's an egg. The rooster tosses the egg away, where it lands in a hat shop, atop a duck's new #5 Hat. Now that it's a #6 Hat, the clerk subtracts it and hurls it away too. It lands at a ballpark, where the chicken pitcher mistakes it for a baseball, until Elmo Bird and the umpire chicken point out the difference. The pitcher throws it back to the nest, where Elmo Bird's new baby brother hatches.
