COLD OPEN | What's the Word on the Street?: Resist
SCENE | Alan welcomes the viewer while Leela samples his new drink creation. Elmo comes by, calling out to Rosita. When she arrives, he shows her a present he's made for her. It's not her birthday, so it's a "Just because" present. Just as Rosita is about to open it, Elmo's mommy calls him for lunch. Elmo makes her promise not to open it until Elmo returns. Rosita is eager to open it, however. The grown-ups give her a strategy to help her resist opening the box: sitting on her hands. Rosita gives it a try, but still wants to open the box.
SCENE cont'd | Suddenly, Abby poofs on the scene and offers some magical help. She casts a dancing spell (since dancing will take her mind off opening the present), but enchants Leela and Alan instead (who dance to an instrumental version of "Amigo"). The two can't stop dancing and Rosita begins getting close to the present. Abby doesn't know how to reverse the spell, so she freezes them all instead. They all don't want to remain frozen until Elmo gets back, so Abby unfreezes them all.
SCENE cont'd | Abby remembers a non-magical strategy her mommy taught her: imagining the present is something else. Through song, the gang helps Rosita imagine the present is stuff she wouldn't want to touch (a porcupine, a crocodile and an ice block).
SCENE cont'd | Rosita likes the strategy, but still can't resist opening the box. Just as she's about to, she stops herself. She realizes if she opens the present, she'll hurt Elmo's feelings by not waiting. Rosita decides to wait for Elmo to return, which he does shortly after. Rosita opens the box, which contains a clay sculpture of her and Elmo hugging. She thinks it's the best present ever! Alan calls for a celebration and cues up the dance music for them to groove to.

Once at the top, they discover a giant using Peck as a tiny feather duster. They try to communicate, but they are not heard. They call Spot, who shows them images of ears. Abby makes Gonnigan perform his spell again, so they can be giants and talk to him. They grow to be as big as the giant and swap Peck for a large feather duster.
