SCENE | Telly welcomes the viewer, excited to have a magical playdate with Abby today. When she arrives, he learns her wand is at the cleaners, meaning no traditional magic today. Abby instead thinks they can look for magic all around Sesame Street. She shows him how to use "majoggles" (magic goggles) by putting their hands to the face, like binoculars; she also encourages the viewer to use their own pair. With a song, they go off to find some magic.
SCENE cont'd | The two make their way to the Laundromat, where Leela assures them there's no magic around, only laundry. Ms. Angora appears with her several cats, desperate to get the cat hair out of her sweater. Leela uses some tape to remove the hair. Abby watches through her majoggles and thinks it's magic! Telly and Leela know better and she explains the tape is just a handy tool. Telly wants to find some real magic and two traipse off, singing their song once more.
SCENE cont'd | They spy Gordon grading papers in the yard, when the wind blows them away. He collects them, then uses a stapler to keep them together. Abby thinks this is also magic, but Telly is unimpressed. Gordon shows Abby how the stapler works, adding it's also a handy tool. Abby is ecstatic with what she's learned, but Telly is fed up with the lack of real magic and leaves.
SCENE cont'd | Telly grumbles his way to the Bike Shop, accidentally bumping into Luis, who spills all his nuts and bolts. He produces a magnet to clean them up, a tool Telly thinks is magic. Abby's now ready to do some real magic, but Telly would rather keep finding new and interesting tools around the street.
