Picture Segment Description
COLD OPEN Prairie Dawn sets up today's theme of counting by counting the heads of the Two-Headed Monster. The monster points out there are actually 3 heads, including her own.
(First: Episode 4835)

SCENE 1 Bert's peace and quiet is interrupted when Ernie reveals he's offered to look after some animals today. This includes three chickens, two pigs and a baby camel - six animals all together. Bert isn't keen on this idea and while he and Ernie's backs are turned, the animals all vacate the apartment. Ernie realizes he's left the door open and the two rush out.

SCENE 1 cont'd The two immediately run into Alan and Elmo, who agree to help find the animals. They discover one of the chickens has situated itself in Mrs. Crustworthy's soup bowl. Ernie and Bert chase after the other chickens and Elmo goes looking for the pigs, leaving Alan to "chickensit" the remaining chicken.

SCENE 1 cont'd In the garden, Ernie and Bert can't find the chickens, when they notice they're in the planter box. As they continue the chase, Elmo hears Oscar complaining about the pig in his trash can: "He's turning this trash can into a real pig sty, and that's my job!" Oscar tosses the pig out and Elmo wonders where the other pig could be. He quickly finds it's housed itself in the recycling bin next door.
SCENE 1 cont'd Ernie and Bert's chicken chase has turned up featherless. Ernie recalls the chickens like sitting on Bert's head and applies some birdseed in Bert's hair. Sure enough, this attracts the remaining two chickens.

SCENE 1 cont'd Everyone gathers outside Hooper's Store and does a head count to make sure all the animals are found. However, one animal, the camel, is missing! A moment later, the camel does return and they do one final count. Bert is disappointed to hear the animals will be taken back home any minute now, but Ernie notes not all the animals are leaving. Later that night, the baby camel is still in Ernie's care, taking a snooze on Bert's lap (preventing him from doing anything).
