SCENE 1 cont'd | The gang arrives at Sarita’s Supermarket, where Alan unveils his very long shopping list. He proposes the young ones play a game while he shops - they must find three items anywhere in the store that start with the letter C by the time he's done shopping. Abby proposes they split up and they each head their separate ways.
SCENE 1 cont'd | Abby finds herself in the produce section and meets the produce clerk restocking some of the vegetables. Abby sees one of the items is a Carrot, giving her an item for the game. She passes by the Count, who bristles when the clerk offers him some garlic.
SCENE 1 cont'd | Abby reports her discovery to Alan. Meanwhile, Elmo visits the deli counter to find a C-word item. Big Bird also happens to be there, ordering Cole slaw. SCENE 1 cont'd | Cookie Monster finds himself in the bakery, wishing to live there when he sees all the delights. The bakery clerk tells him to take a number and wait to be called. Elsewhere, Alan finishes collecting everything he needs, but assures Elmo and Abby they have until he's done checking out before they lose. Cookie Monster impatiently waits for his number to be called and is finally able to snag one of the freshly-baked cookies. He restrains himself from eating it to rejoin his friends, just in time for them to win! He makes sure Alan's groceries are paid for before eating his treat.
