Picture Segment Description
COLD OPEN Super Grover sets up today's theme of comic books. He asks the Two-Headed Monster if their newsstand sells any comic books about himself, of which there are none. He decides to write his own and once again bungles his attempted take-off.

SCENE 1 Chris has uncovered a box of his old comic books from the basement and brings it to Hooper's Store. He shows Elmo and Abby some of the many selections he has, including an issue of "Karate Gecko's in Space." He reads them one of the issues, with character voices and describing some of the elements of a comic book.

SCENE 1 cont'd Telly Monster rushes in and asks if Chris has any comics about triangles. He walks out with a stack of "Triangle Squad" comics, when Abby asks for a comic book about the Furry Tornado (of the Furry Four). Chris doesn't have any issues of that in his box, but says that Abby can make her own Furry Tornado comic. Elmo agrees and they both go to make their comic books.

SCENE 1 cont'd Some time later, Chris comes out to see what the youngsters have been working on. Abby has finished her comic - entitled "Follow That Backpack." She reads them the story (shown as animated drawings), where the Furry Tornado (resembling Abby herself) helps a young boy reclaim his backpack from a goose.

SCENE 1 cont'd Elmo is almost done working on his comic, when he makes a mistake in his drawing. He frets that it's now ruined and the others shouldn't see it. Chris has him take a calming breath and Elmo permits them to take a peak at his comic. He describes the story, where the Furry Flash (himself) teams up with the Furry Tornado and Furry Muscles. His drawing was meant to depict a kite stuck in a tree, but he's messed up the rendering. Chris convinces him to change the story and turn the mistake into something else. Elmo thinks it looks like an elephant, so he rewrites the story so the superheroes rescue an elephant from a tree. Telly hears this and rushes over to read the comic himself.
