SCENE 1 | Abby, Rudy, and Charlie drop by Hooper's Store, where Grover is taking care of things while Alan is out (and messing up as usual). Rosita comes by soon after with a list of things needed for a fiesta she and her abuela are throwing for a visiting friend. Her abuela calls her over to meet their friend at the bus, so Rosita leaves the list for Grover to take care of. He cannot understand the list, as it is written in Spanish. Fortunately, Rudy knows some Spanish from his mom. |

SCENE 1 cont'd | The first item on the list is 20 bags of hielo (ice). Everyone wonders who the special guest is that needs that much ice. They scrounge up 10 bags of ice, which they count in Spanish. Abby magically duplicates the bags to give them 20, and they count the added bags in Spanish as well. |

SCENE 1 cont'd | Next, they need 40 cans of atΓΊn (tuna fish); Grover mistakes this for "a tune" and starts to sing. Abby uses magic again to fulfill the order, and Grover bemoans having to open so many cans. Finally, the list calls for mΓΊsicos. Rudy knows where to find some and darts off. Grover thinks he can also find some and exits too. Abby and Charlie go over to the list to make sure everything is covered and they begin to set up for the fiesta. |

SCENE 1 cont'd | Out in the yard, Abby and Charlie have set up a party atmosphere made of ice with a large bowl of tuna. Grover returns with Gladys the Cow, who provides the "moo" in "mΓΊsicos." Rudy returns with actual mΓΊsicos - musicians. Rosita and her abuela arrive soon after with their special friend - Polly the Penguin (Pam Arciero) from the South Pole. She's impressed with the fiesta they've thrown and teaches everyone to do a special penguin dance. |
