COLD OPEN | Elmo and three colorful monsters harmonize as they set up today's theme of colors. (First: Episode 4723)
SCENE 1 | Chris is unloading a bag of items from a place he visited today and asks Elmo and Rudy to try and guess what that place is. After being shown the fact that the bag has an image of a museum on it, a museum-themed artbook, and postcard displaying art, Elmo correctly guessed that it was an art museum. Elmo then wishes that there was an art museum right on Sesame Street. Unfortunately there aren't any, but Rudy suggests they create their own.
SCENE 1 (cont'd) | First they need walls to hang the pictures, which can easily be substituted by large white boards as Rudy points out. The only thing missing are paintings. Elmo's solution to this problem is to get everyone on Sesame Street to create their own painting...
SCENE 1 (cont'd) | As Elmo heads off to create his painting, Chris wonders what Rudy will make. Rudy is unsure what to create, but Chris suggests taking inspiration from others' paintings and incorporating aspects of them into his. He checks up on Abby, who is painting her garden. She explains that, despite only having three colors (red, yellow, and blue), she can mix a number of them to create other colors. This is due to them being primary colors, and are able to be made green by mixing the blue and yellow. He then heads to Charlie, who is making a painting based on the way she feels. This leads Rudy to recall that he is feeling happy, like a rainbow, and is inspired to create one because of that. He is almost done, but the one problem is that he does not have any purple paint. He comes to the solution of mixing red and blue to create purple paint.
SCENE 1 (cont'd) | This almost works, if not for the fact that the purple isn't red enough. He attempts to add more red, but ends up smudging the paint all over. After almost giving up, he realizes that he can try again and still make a great painting. He does the painting another time, with the purple again not looking right. The solution Elmo comes up with is to simply mix the colors on the paper plate before placing it on the painting. It is time for the museum! Surrounded by others, Rudy places his painting on the white boards. They all celebrate and get some lunch.
Insert | I Wonder, What If, Let's Try Elmo watches as Ava creates a painting of fruit: a yellow banana, and a red apple. She wants to paint an orange, but doesn't have any orange paint. Not to worry, you can simply create orange by mixing the two colors.
Muppets | Elmo and friends sing and clap as they find out the letter of the day - C. (First: Episode 5019)
Muppets / Celebrity | Kacey Musgraves, joined by Elmo, Abby, Big Bird, Gabrielle, and the Count, sings "All the Colors."
SCENE 2 | Abby is showing Elmo what her garden looks like without any colors. As she attempts to change it back, they hear the sounds of the Foodie Truck. Abby wonders what Cookie Monster and Gonger are cooking today.
Muppets | Cookie Monster's Foodie Truck Grace is having family dinner with her cousin, who only enjoys foods when they are brightly colored, and rejects eating any french fries. Grace wonders if it is possible to make french fries made with bright colors. Gonger's solution is sweet potato fries. Cookie Monster gets all the ingredients except for the sweet potato, as he previously made it into a flute before eating it. They decide to get more from the sweet potato farm.
Muppets | Elmo and Abby pose as astronauts and sing about finding the number of the day by counting Martians. Today, there is 1. (First: Episode 5017)
