COLD OPEN | Elmo introduces today’s theme of staying healthy and protecting yourself against germs. Super Grover then enters the scene to assure Elmo he will use all of his superpowers to defend against germs, only to find out that you don’t actually need superpowers to do so. |

SCENE 1 | Elmo is ready to video-chat with Abby, only to find out she is unable to do so due to the fact that she’s going on a hike. |

SCENE 1 cont’d | Rudy is already feeling exhausted from the hike, despite the fact that they just got out of the car. Abby discovers this is because of the overabundance of materials in his backpack. Freddy overhears Rudy saying he might get bored, to which he assures Rudy that he won’t get bored on a hike, as there is a lot of cool stuff to be seen on a hike. |

SCENE 1 cont’d | While walking, the three spot a dear and a rabbit. Rudy continues to complain about being tired, and Freddy suggests taking a break and eating. Rudy suggests cookies, but Freddy objects, saying they need to eat healthy and offers carrots. Rudy, still unimpressed by the hike, asks to go home. Then, when Abby suggests he dislikes nature, Rudy randomly starts talking about how strong he is, and how he could step on a germ at any moment. |

SCENE 1 cont’d | After talking about potentially going home, Freddy pulls out a piece of paper. On it is a treasure map. After hearing about the potential treasure they could find, Rudy is now convinced to keep hiking in order to find the treasure. They follow the map to lead them to treasure, first stopping at a few rocks. Before heading off on the trail, Rudy eats a very small pinch of trail mix, and is suddenly boosted with energy. The next stop is a couple of trees, where they drink water to keep themselves hydrated, another way of staying healthy. Abby notices a pretty rock and asks if it’s treasure. Freddy responds that anything you call treasure, is treasure. This leads to a large rock collection of Abby and Rudy’s. Freddy suggests only choosing one piece of treasure, that way there’s not as many and other people can find it. |

SCENE 1 cont’d | After hearing out for it, they finally found the treasure: the waterfall. Rudy announces he is going to remember this moment forever. Abby then notices something in the bushes: a hike pirate (Tyler Bunch), who is amazed by the treasure. |

Celebrity | Athlete Naomi Osaka is about to teach Elmo, Charlie, and Gabrielle how to play tennis, but they need to put on sunscreen first. Gabrielle asks if she needs to wear sunscreen despite having a different color skin. Osaka explains that all skin has melanin in it, and that people with darker skin have more than those with lighter skin. Super Sunscreen arrives and explains that, while melanin does protect the skin, you still need sunscreen to be a "melanin helper." Another type of "melanin helper" is visors, which Osaka provides for everyone. Now that they are protected against the sun, they are ready to play. |

Muppets | Cookie Monster's Foodie Truck Josephine and her sisters are taking a break from playing outside, and they ask for watermelon ice pops because they are healthy and refreshing. Cookie and Gonger gladly accept the offer, and get the ingredients ready. They seem to have everything they need, but on closer look, Cookie Monster has mistaken a watermelon for a cucumber, the former of which they do not have. The two go to a watermelon farm to get some. |
