COLD OPEN | Elmo and a talking tooth (Matt Vogel) introduce today's theme of dentists.
SCENE 1 | After a game of tag with Elmo and Julia, Charlie mentions she's getting ready to go to the dentist. The mention of this triggers fear into Julia, who finds going to the dentist rather upsetting. In an effort to change her view on the dentist, Elmo suggests they play a game of dentist to show just how helpful they can be.
SCENE 1 cont'd | Alan brings in an alligator puppet to help out. The three take roles to show Julia how dentist appointments are done. Alan will play the patient, Charlie the dentist, and Elmo the sound effects. Pretend Doctor Charlie gets the alligator ready for his checkup in a special dentist chair, which Alan demonstrates to Julia. When Charlie starts to count the fake teeth, Julia gets scared and won't let Charlie take a look. But when Elmo uses the "magic words" "1, 2, 3, open sesame!," she gladly takes her hand off the alligator and lets Charlie do her job. Charlie then sucks out the extra water in the pretend mouth, and brushes them with a pretend special toothbrush. The fake teeth are clean! Now it's time for Charlie's dentist appointment, and she decides to take Julia with her.
SCENE 1 cont'd | Charlie, Alan, and Julia arrive at the dentist's office, and meet Dr. Price, Charlie's dentist. Dr. Price puts on Charlie a paper bib, assuring Julia it's different from a baby's bib, and then lowers the dentist chair. She also demonstrates that they shine a very bright light at the patient, but that they can wear sunglasses to protect their eyes. Price does exactly what Charlie had shown Julia previously, she counts the teeth, gets rid of extra water, and then brushes them (but with a shiny mirror, "Mr. Thirsty," and a real electric toothbrush, respectively). Charlie is now done with her checkup, and Julia now has a much more open mind about going to the dentist, calling Dr. Price "nice."

SCENE 2 | Cookie Monster walks in on Elmo eating some fruits and vegetables, and asks if he can try some. He ends up getting carried away, and eats the entire plate. This shocks Elmo, but before he can say anything Cookie leaves. Elmo supposes he can get another snack on the Foodie Truck...
Muppets | Cookie Monster's Foodie Truck A girl calls in telling Cookie and Gonger that she wants a snack containing celery because her dentist recommends eating crunchy fruits and vegetables. Gonger comes up with the brilliant idea of celery butterflies, for which they open the recipe and get the ingredients. They have everything but the celery stalks, which have unfortunately "stalked away" into Cookie's stomach, so they need to get more from the celery farm.
