Picture Segment Description
COLD OPEN Elmo introduces the topic of homes. He brings up his apartment, Abby and Rudy's apartment, and Oscar's trash can as examples. Oscar pops up and points out that he has only one rule when entering his home: when you visit, just drop your trash in it and go away!
SCENE 1 Chris reads Goldilocks and the Three Bears to Elmo, Abby, and Baby Bear. In the middle of the read-aloud, Elmo asks why Goldilocks doesn't just eat her own porridge and sit in her own chair. To figure this out, Abby takes her friends to Fairy Tale Land...

SCENE 1 cont'd ...where they meet up with Goldilocks. Goldilocks suspiciously asks Baby Bear if his house is empty, which leads Elmo to wonder if she has her own home. She says she does, but she doesn't spend too much time there due to it not being "just right." The group huddles together and concludes that to make Goldilocks happy, they can create a new home that is just right. Goldilocks overhears and loves the idea. She heads off for her "daily walk in the woods" (which Baby Bear believes to be to his house). Abby then magics up some building equipment...

SCENE 1 cont'd Chris is intrigued by the materials, but is stumped on what to build. After all, there are many different types of homes. They then call out for Goldilocks and ask what kind of home she'd like. Goldilocks tells them what she'd want on the inside, but not on the outside, so Chris takes to his book of many builds to decide. They need one that's just right, so they brainstorm what that could look like. Baby Bear thinks about the shape of his home, and wonders: what if they make her home shaped like his? Let's try!

SCENE 1 cont'd The team builds the house just the right shape. Once they're finished, they call on Goldilocks to ask her what she thinks. She doesn't immediately identify it, wondering if her new house is right behind that very large home. But once she realizes that it's hers, she worries it's too big, as she's not even able to reach the door knob to get in. The team rebuilds the house, but this time, it's way too small. Baby Bear wonders how to get the house just the right size but is distracted by Chris fidgeting with his tape measure. Wait a minute... a tape measure! That's exactly the tool needed.

SCENE 1 cont'd They call Goldilocks once more, this time to measure how big she is. She's three feet tall, so they now know how to build the house just right. Once it's finished, Goldilocks is perfectly satisfied. Once they're back home, Chris finishes the story, but this time with their house-building modifications.
