SCENE 1 | Elmo, Telly and Baby Bear are playing catch in the yard (while Chris wraps the newspapers in rubber bands), when they hear an announcer proclaim the arrival of Hubert the Human Cannonball. Armed with a crowd sound-effect remote, Hubert announces he will shoot himself across the yard from his cannon and land into a bucket of blue gelatin. He retrieves his equipment, including a ruler that must measure a five-foot distance between the cannon and the gelatin. Baby Bear volunteers to do the measuring. Chris pushes the bucket to the spot, but receives no applause from Hubert. Telly and Elmo put him into the cannon and Chris activates it. The cannon rumbles, starts to smoke and lets Hubert fall out exactly zero feet. Telly is very upset and decides they should help him launch. He runs off with an idea.
SCENE 1 cont'd | Telly returns with a large catapult (and a knight helmet). Telly folds Hubert into a ball and loads him in. Telly fires and Hubert is launched two feet, which is not enough. Elmo has an idea...
SCENE 1 cont'd | ...and comes back with the Big Bad Wolf, who will huff and puff Hubert into the bucket. The wolf blows and sends Hubert three feet, which still doesn't reach his goal. Baby Bear believes he can engineer something and borrows Chris' rubber bands. He demonstrates that one rubber band can launch a crumpled napkin. From the rest of the rubber bands, he makes a large one that finally launches Hubert into his bucket of gelatin. In celebration, Chris and the guys head to Hooper's Store to engineer some snacks.
