COLD OPEN | Elmo introduces today's bubble theme with two talking bubbles (Stephanie D'Abruzzo and Pam Arciero).
SCENE 1 | Today is the first day of National Bubble Week, and Zoe has the idea to decorate the entire street with bubbles to celebrate. She and Rosita start by blowing all the bubbles themselves (singing in the process), but their mouths get too tired to keep going. They wonder if there's a way to blow bubbles without using their mouths. Charlie overhears and tells them she saw someone in the park making bubbles with a rope. She demonstrates to the two how to do it. They then rope the bubbles all over the street, but are again tired of manually distributing the bubbles.
SCENE 1 cont'd | They go to Hooper's exhausted, not even having the arm strength to pick up and eat food. Zoe sits and cools by the fan, before thinking about giving up, but Rosita assures her they can't give up, and realizes that the fan can blow bubbles by itself. Rosita thinks this is a step in the right direction, but Zoe points out that their arms are already really tired, and they can't keep up holding up a wand by the fan. Besides, two wands is not nearly enough to bubble up the whole street. Rosita though notices Alan washing an egg rack, and asks to use it to blow bubbles, as it looks like a bunch of bubble wands put together. Rosita gets excited about this idea, but Zoe then points out that there's no way to dip it without arms, until Rosita notices Chris using a spinning apple peeler.
SCENE 1 cont'd | The four then combine a cork screw, the apple peeler, the egg rack, and the fan to create the ultimate bubble machine. Zoe, cranking the machine with her foot, is happy with only having bubbles near Hooper's Store and not the whole street, but Alan, Chris, and Nina arrive with more bubbles to bubble up Sesame Street, singing one final chorus.
Insert | I Wonder, What If, Let's Try Corey and Nathaniel are taking turns blowing bubbles with one wand. They want to both blow bubbles at the same time, so they create more wands out of pipe cleaners.
