SCENE 1 | Elmo, Tamir, and Tamir's mom Kayla are at the community garden. Kayla and Tamir show Elmo the herbs they've been growing. Kayla then compliments Alan's plant, which Alan explains to be an herb called shiso. Alan is also growing daikon and bell pepper, and he explains that he uses all three of these ingredients to make food from Japan, which helps him keep his connection to his Japanese culture. Dave, who is growing flowers with Mia, overhears and compliments Alan's plot. Dave and Mia explain that the daisies and asters they're growing are Mia's abuela's favorite, and their family loves planting flowers in the garden. |

SCENE 1 cont'd | The next morning, Elmo and Tamir head to the community garden to find it covered in litter and broken branches. Tamir suspects that a windstorm the previous night must have wrecked the garden. They can't even get inside, as there is a large branch blocking the gate they are unable to move. Elmo and Tamir get very sad, and worry about the future of the garden. To calm themselves down, they take deep belly breaths, and after which think of solutions. Tamir realizes that if the two of them are sad, everyone who worked on the garden would also be sad, and everyone would work together to fix the garden. Tamir and Elmo tell Mia and Alan about the incident, who are both desperate to help. |

SCENE 1 cont'd | They all head to the garden to clean up, and see Big Bird and his bird friends, Abby, the Two-Headed Monster, and Abby's leafblower (a cloud) arrive to pitch in. Kayla then arrives, and together, everyone sings as they put the garden back together. |

The two really like cauliflower and ask Cookie Monster and Gonger to help. Gonger comes up with the idea of cauliflower rice with vegetables, and Cookie gets everything except the cauliflower. When Gonger questions how Cookie eats exactly what they need right before they need it, Cookie simply responds, "It a gift." The two then leave for the cauliflower farm... (First: Episode 5215) |
