COLD OPEN | Elmo sets up today's theme of shapes, as some shapes run all around him, getting "in shape." (First: Episode 4821)
SCENE 1 | Elmo and Cookie Monster attend Prairie Dawn's cookie party, for which Prairie Dawn has made cookies of all different shapes. Knowing Cookie Monster would have a tough time waiting, Prairie made a special batch just for him. He can have all the cookies he wants... as long as they're shaped like an octagon.
SCENE 1 cont'd | When Prairie leaves to check on Grover's chocolate chip delivery, Cookie realizes he doesn't know which cookies are octagons. Elmo doesn't know either but is willing to help Cookie figure it out to prevent him from eating all the cookies. The two start by identifying shapes they do know. Elmo notices that some cookies are squares, and Cookie notices some are circles (or cookie-shaped, as he puts it). Cookie notices some three-sided cookies and presumes because they're not squares or circles, he can eat them. From her apartment above Hooper's Store, Prairie stops him from eating them, as those cookies are triangles. The three then perform a song about triangles' three sides and three angles.
SCENE 1 cont'd | Cookie vows not to eat triangle cookies, and Prairie leaves to check on her oven. Cookie and Elmo still don't know which cookies are octagons, but Cookie notices some four-sided cookies that resemble diamonds and assumes he can eat those. So he begins to, but once again Prairie yells down at him, informing him that they're rhombuses ("Okay, now you just making up shapes!"). This leads to a rendition of the song about rhombuses.
SCENE 1 cont'd | Prairie once again has to leave, this time for her milk delivery. Cookie Monster is left sad, not knowing which cookies he can eat. The Count then arrives at the party, and Cookie asks him if he knows what an octagon is. The Count does and points to the eight-sided cookies, which Cookie begins to devour.
SCENE 1 cont'd | Prairie arrives with a fresh batch of cookies, relieved that Cookie knew which cookies were octagons. She reveals she hired a Honker to point to the correct ones, but Cookie Monster was completely oblivious to his presence ("Oh come on, you had one job!", says Prairie). The four then perform the song once more--this time about octagons. The four play two additional melodies about the eight-sided shape; one of which includes a synth keytar solo by Prairie.
SCENE 1 cont'd | Now that the table is set, the rest of the guests (Grover, the Honker, and Gabrielle) arrive to the fancy cookie party.
Insert | I Wonder, What If, Let's Try Kai and Kokomi notice different shapes in the lunch their dad is helping them pack for school. Their hako sushi is square-shaped, their cucumber slices are circle-shaped, and their onigiri is triangle-shaped. They also notice that the container for their lunch contains four rectangles.

Muppets | Cookie Monster's Foodie Truck A young boy contacts the foodie truck, ordering something for breakfast that's both flat and shaped like a circle, his favorite shape.
