Ermavilo (Ernesto Brancucci, 1947-2021) was an Italian singer, songwriter, and musical adapter who worked primarily in dubbing. He served as musical director or lyrical adapter for several Muppet movies, as well as Bear Nella Grande Casa Blu (Bear in the Big Blue House). His daughter Lorena Brancucci has worked with him on several of these assignments.
Under a variety of pseudonyms, Ermavilo had also had singing and sometimes even speaking roles in many of his projects, credited as Mirko Pontrelli, Augusto Giardino, or Daniele Viri. He was the Italian voice of Pumbaa in The Lion King and its spinoffs and sang for Dick Van Dyke in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, chorus pirates in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, the peddler in Aladdin, Dodger in Oliver & Company, and others. For TV, he sang the DuckTales theme and for Lou Rawls and Jon Arbuckle in the Garfield specials. He worked most often for Disney, as musical director and adapting songs for The Little Mermaid, assorted Winnie the Pooh releases, The Nightmare Before Christmas, the redub of Lady and the Tramp, and various Disney Cartoon Classics videos.
