Ernest Tubb (1914 - 1984) was an American country singer and songwriter, best known for his band the Texas Troubadours and his many country hits.
- Tubb was referenced in the January 14, 1966 broadcast of The Jimmy Dean Show. Rowlf the Dog, putting together a book on the history of country music, tells Jimmy Dean that he spent a day of research in the back room of Tubb's record shop, where he witnesses Tubb and three Texas Troubadours in a bubble bath together. When Jimmy replies he's never heard of such a thing, Rowlf quips back, "You've never heard of 'Rub-a-Dub-Dub, three men and a Tubb?" Rowlf then shows off some the rare records he'd found in Tubb's shop.
