Ernie and Bert's Summer Project is a 1991 Sesame Street storybook featuring Ernie and Bert.
Bored and looking for something to do over the summer, Ernie and Bert decide to create a "sidewalk museum" outside Hooper's Store showing off their collections. Ernie prepares his rock collection, while Bert displays his collections of buttons, paper clips, bottlecaps, rubber bands and string. Once the pair start setting up, their friends show up with collections of their own — Oscar's trash collection, Cookie Monster's cookie collection, and Sherlock Hemlock's clue collection. Big Bird brings seashells, Grover brings motel soaps, and Herry Monster has a collection of tiny glass animals. Betty Lou arrives with her baseball card collection, and the Count shows off his bat vase collection.
Ernie and Bert open their museum, and visitors pay admission — enough to buy them two bottles of Figgy Fizz at the end of the day.
