In a three-part sketch, Ernie uses a poster from The Sesame Street Learning Kit to recite the alphabet.
Interrupting Bert from his book, Ernie claims he can do the alphabet both forwards and backwards. While Bert checks the poster, Ernie tries to recite the alphabet from memory.
After a couple of snags, and breaks to films about the letters D and M, Ernie completes it. When Bert reminds him that he claimed to also know it backwards, Ernie turns his back from Bert, faces the poster, and makes his way from Z to A in a flash.
Notes[]
- The script title for this sketch is "Alphabet Test."
