Ernie approaches a yellow letter R sitting atop a brick wall and introduces it to the audience. He vocalizes what the letter sounds like on its own, repeating it a few times before he starts sounding like a car revving its engine.
This continues as he pretends to drive a car around in a circle. When he returns to the wall, he says, "That's the sound of the letter R. That's a good one!" and finishes with his signature laugh.
