The Fantastic Four is a superhero team most commonly comprised of Mister Fantastic, the Invisible Woman, the Human Torch, and the Thing. Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in 1961 for Marvel Comics, their adventures appear in hundreds of comic books, several cartoon adaptations, theatrical movies, merchandise, and other media.

- Telly Monster, Abby Cadabby, and Elmo start off as the "Furry Three" in Sesame Street Episode 4218; they're later joined by Chris as the fourth member. When the episode was released on DVD as Iron Monster and Sesame Heroes, "The Furry 4" get the comic book treatment.
- The Fantabulous Four appear at Numeric Con in Sesame Street Episode 4504.
- The "Sesame Street Theater" at the Sesame Street Learn & Play features a poster for the film "Fantastic Five." A Number 5 in cape is depicted alongside the film's tagline, "With Great Numbers Come Great Equations" (referencing Spider-Man's motivational motto). The poster also states the film is a part of the "Numerical Cinematic Universe."
- Fozzie Bear appeared as Ben Grimm/The Thing on a variant cover for Fantastic Four volume 8 #4 as part of Marvel's celebration of The Muppets' 70th anniversary in 2025.
