The twelve-issue miniseries continues the numbering that began with Tangled Roots.

Issue #13: Twice More Unto the Breach[]

Farscape Comics (11)
Release Date: November 17, 2010

On the outskirts of Hynerian space, General Turralde engages with the Grennij, but he discovers they are being aided by the legendary Kkore, a race of ancient beings from an area beyond space (called "Grey Space"). Turralde's fleet is all but destroyed.

The Peacekeepers, lead by Commandant Aeryn Sun, continue to regain numbers. Braca, having deserted after the PKs signed the armistice with the Scarrans, rejoins under Aeryn's command. He brings them intelligence that confirms the Grennij are working for the Kkore. Braca also reveals that Scorpius is commanding one of the Kkore's mega-carriers.

Scorpius is ordered by the Kkore to destroy the planet Prybella. Questioning the Kkore's motives, he does so reluctantly. Prybella explodes, killing Velorek and Elann and Wimmah Crais in the process.

Grayza, with the help of several rogue Peacekeepers (including Admiral Byral), escapes from her detention cell. Byral's command carrier breaks formation, taking several support ships with it, as Grayza tries to take the bridge of Aeryn's carrier.

Issue #14: Death is Taxing[]

Farscape comic 14
Release Date: December 15, 2010

Aeryn quickly puts an end to Grayza's mutiny, but not before four of Bryal's Prowlers fire upon two of Zobrek's Marauders. Although Bryal claims the attack was unauthorized and she returns to formation, Aeryn demotes her rank to lieutenant, and Grayza is exiled from the Peacekeepers.

Aeryn then promotes Braca to admiral status and gives him Bryal's fleet. However, it's not long after that Aeryn receives word that the Kkore are coming. When they arrive, they destroy a dozen command carriers and two hundred Prowlers, including Admiral Josbek's carrier, killing him and all those on board.

Back on Moya, Sikozu is sent a transmission from Scorpius. He notifies her that he's joined the Kkore and conquered the Scarrans. As the Scarrans are now subservient, the Kalish, as subjects of the Scarrans, are no longer needed, and he announces the Kkore have eliminated the Kalish as a species.

With the Kkore having destroyed seventy percent of the Peacekeeper fleet, the PKs retreat to the three Leviathans — Moya, Cilla, and Tiyo. Approximately 20,000 Peacekeepers are able to board one of the Leviathans, but in the process, Kirlix and Sikozu die defending them, and Moya is injured by a Grennij ship.

The Kkore have gathered various leaders of the groups they have conquered, including Dominar Rygel XVI. Ddan-Myr explains that if they cooperate, they will be reinstated to their seat of power as Kkore subjects.

Roiin, unable to contact the person who hired him to go after Deke, heads to Baxx so he can think on what to do.

Issue #16: Crawling From the Wreckage[]

Farscape Comics (71)
Release Date: February 9, 2011

Aeryn gathers the remaining Peacekeeper leaders, and they determine they will establish a base of operations in the Falaman System, a system on the edge of the Uncharted Territories known for a sun with constant flare-ups and dangerous planets. Crichton then arrives back at Moya with a fleet comprised of various alien species.

After Noranti is sent to the infirmary to help start organizing medical care for the incoming influx of refugees, Gribwel notices her life force is fluctuating and her third eye has opened prematurely.

When Roiin reaches Baxx, he finds it in disarray; the planet is off its orbit and one of its moons is missing due to a battle between the Kkore and Luxans.

Ddan-Myr tells Scorpius that the Grennij have begun to revolt against the Kkore, and that their race will be eliminated. She notes that the Kkore will have to find new shock troops, possibly the Hynerians.

Scorpius, fearing he too may be killed if his usefulness is deemed to be at an end, rescues Rygel, and the two flee from the Kkore.

They eventually come across a small, desert island where Scorpius is able to use the Peacekeeper's comm frequency to call for help.

Help finally arrives in the form of Grunchlk who is on his way to the Falaman System. But before they can proceed there, Scorpius wants to take a detour to Delvia, where he hopes to find the secret to stopping the Kkore.

However, they are soon found out by Peacekeeper and Hynerian leadership. Aeryn gives them a choice: pledge their loyalty and agree to cooperate, or be killed.

Roiin and Chiana recive a transmission from Roiin's old friend Selrin who informs them of the Peacekeepers' resistance base. Chiana questions Roiin's motives for agreeing to head to the Falaman System.

Issue #19: Stark Contrasts[]

Farscape TWFTUT cover19
Release Date: May 11, 2011

The Peacekeeper resistance struggles to become completely united. Different alien races are forced to use foreign technology and learn new military tactics, not to mention they each have their own unique medical requirements.

Noranti discovers the guowmuhr is reversing and that she is dying.

Scorpius and Rygel arrive at Delvia. Scorpius has noted genetic similarities between Delvians and the Kkore, in addition to the fact that the Kkore have yet to conquer Delvia. While the Delvians want nothing to do with the rest of the galaxy, Stark (who brought the Eidelons to Delvia) convinces Delvian leadership to hear their reason for coming to the planet. When Scorpius informs them of the Kkore's arrival to the galaxy, an astounded Counsellor Hareathm allows them to land.

Meanwhile, the Kkore have found the resistance base. They are caught off guard when they find Hynerians and Charrid working together, but they quickly regain their composure and decimate a quarter of the resistance's ships.

Having allied with other alien species, the Peacekeepers have defied the Kkore's projections and are proving to be a greater challenge than originally predicted. The Kkore continue on with their assault, but they are suffering more losses than they thought they would.

The resistance isn't faring too well either. They have lost half of their forces, and all hope seems lost. The Peacekeepers discuss a tactical retreat but are interrupted by the arrival of a joint Luxan-Scorvian fleet.

Stunned, the Kkore flee the Falaman System. Ddan-Myr promises General Ba a force three times as large in order to prevail over the resistance.

Issue #21: Divided We Stand[]

Farscape comic 21
Release Date: July 27, 2011

Chiana and Roiin return to Moya. Due to the fact Roiin was only paid partially in advance by his client (which has been all used up chasing Crichton across the galaxy) and that he is unable to contact said client due to the ongoing Kkore invasion, Roiin considers himself under no obligation to continue hunting Deke. Crichton agrees that they could use Roiin's help in the war, and they temporarily put aside their differences.

Later, Rygel notices Scorpius leaving Moya in an apparent attempt at self-preservation.

Commandant Sun holds a meeting with the leaders of the various alien races. They determine that the Kkore must have been gathering intelligence on them for many years. Based on that intelligence, the Kkore were unprepared for such allyships as the Hynerians and Charrids and the Luxans and Scorvians, factions that are blood enemies. Nations within the Uncharted Territories have a chronic inability to form alliances, and up to this point, the Kkore have taken advantage of this. To beat the Kkore, the resistance must continue to work together, mixing fleets and using non-standard tactics. The Luxans also reveal they have a Kkore cannon but have been unable to install it.

The meeting is interrupted by the approach of a Delvian ship, on board of which is Scorpius, Rygel, and Stark. Scorpius brings with him the revelation that the Delvians used to be the Kkore.

Issue #22: Talkin' Kkore Blues[]

Farscape comic 22
Release Date: August 10, 2011

Hareathm explains that long ago, the Kkore visited the Milky Way galaxy, deciding to conquer it in due time. While most of the Kkore left, three emissary vessels stayed behind. Lead by the prophet Ssaryn Zhaan, they settled on Delvia. Zhaan convinced them to leave behind the ways of Kkore and seek peace.

Scorpius, having studied Delvian culture as part of his pursuit of Moya and her crew members, notes the Delvian telepathic rite of "Dej-Wah" can be the weapon that defeats the Kkore. Hareathm, however, says there are no longer enough strong-minded Delvians to complete the Dej-Wah.

With the combined power of the Eidelons and the Delvians, Crichton believes that they can harness the different faiths of everyone in the resistance to complete the Dej-Wah.

Each member of the resistance prays to their deity, and if not a deity, something else they believe in. Through Stark, their faith becomes strengthened. The Dej-Wah is working, empowering the resistance.

The Luxans use their Kkore cannon on the incoming Kkore. While the cannon destroys three Kkore ships, it also blows up the Luxan vessel in the process, killing Jothee and the other Luxans on board.

Issue #24: The Beginning of The End of The Beginning[]

Farscape comic 24
Release Date: October 12, 2011

An elderly Deke Sun-Crichton continues telling the story to a group of children.

The Kkore fire upon Moya, causing a hull breach, and Deke and Noranti are sucked into space. Noranti, already in the process of dying, decides to sacrifice herself. Her death causes a pink flare which alerts Chiana and Roiin to Deke's location. A determined Roiin then delivers Deke back to his parents.

Across the galaxy, the Kkore's rule is challenged as the various conquered races rise up against their suppressors.

Scorpius returns with a fleet of Grennij who survived the Kkore's purge. The Grennij are exactly what the resistance needs, and they destroy all the Kkore's support ships.

Aeryn asks the flagship for their surrender. Ddan-Myr refuses, and the resistance blows up her ship. With no leader, the Kkore become lost and unable to defend themselves, and they are all overthrown. Similarly, the resistance soon falls apart when the different alien races begin to fight among each other again.

Aeryn and Crichton reflect on what has occurred thus far, and they renew their promise to work towards raising their child in peace.
