Fathom Events is an entertainment content provider that distributes entertainment events in movie theaters throughout the United States, including the Metropolitan Opera, major sporting events, music concerts, and limited releases of new and cult-classic films.
April 29, May 1, and May 2, 2018 Each screening of the film included new introductions by Brian Henson and Jennifer Connelly. The presentation also included a theatrical screening from The StoryTeller. Brian Henson introduced the episode "The Soldier and Death" and discussed the special effects techniques that were a hallmark of Labyrinth, The StoryTeller, and Jim Henson's legacy.[2][3]
September 12, 13, and 15, 2021 (35th anniversary) This anniversary showing was accompanied by a new featurette titled "The Henson Legacy," featuring Jennifer Connelly and the Henson family.[4]
March 6 and 10, 2024 The film was screened as part of Fathom's "Big Screen Classics" series, featuring a new introduction by Leonard Maltin.[5]
February 25 and 28, 2018 Each screening of the film included a new featurette with Lisa Henson reflecting on the making of the film and its creative legacy.[6][7]
December 4 and 7, 2022 (40th anniversary) Each screening of the film featured a brand-new introduction with Lisa Henson on the making of this groundbreaking film and its dedicated fandom, as well as the legacy of her father, Jim Henson.[8]
June 2 and 3, 2024 (45th anniversary) The film (distributed by Universal Pictures) was screened as part of Fathom's "Big Screen Classics" series, featuring a new introduction by Leonard Maltin.[12]
