"Feliz Navidad" (in English "Merry Christmas") is a Christmas song written and popularized by Puerto Rican artist José Feliciano, with alternating Spanish and English verses. The Spanish verse consists of the traditional holiday wish "Feliz navidad, prospero año y felicidad!", which is equivalent in English to "Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!". The English verse consists of repetitions of the line "I want to wish you a Merry Christmas from the bottom of my heart."
"Feliz Navidad" was performed in Christmas Eve on Sesame Street, during a scene where a little girl helps Big Bird learn to ice skate.
Rosita and Elmo sang the song on the album Elmo Saves Christmas: Holiday Favorites.
While filming a segment for Ernie & Bert Songs, Rolando Villazón sang an impromptu rendition of the song with Ernie and Bert in an online clip released on Sesamstrasse.de in December 2013.
