Ferdinand is an Indian Runner duck who appeared in Babe. The neurotic, anorexic Ferdinand fears for his life, and tries to make himself indispensable by crowing and thus replacing the rooster. The duck enlists Babe's assistance in doing away with the new alarm clock. When that fails, and a friend is cooked for Christmas dinner, the duck flees the farm. Later, Ferdinand returned to the farm and watched Babe at the sheep-herding competition on the Hoggetts' TV with the other farm animals and celebrated Babe's victory.
