Ferlinghetti Donizetti is a poet who made his debut in Season 12[1] of Sesame Street. His first name is taken from 1950s beat poet Lawrence Ferlinghetti, while his last name comes from Italian opera composer Gaetano Donizetti.
He is a self-proclaimed rhyming pro, and will rhyme with anything anyone says - even if it doesn't make sense. In Episode 1606, it is mentioned that he previously owned his own fast-food joint, the Rhyming Restaurant.
Ferlinghetti appeared most prominently in "Rappin' Alphabet," which also features Grover as a break dancer. He appeared briefly as a background character in the 1985 film Follow That Bird.
