When Clifford checks in on the progress that Gonzo and Jason Alexander are making on their musical, Bats, for episode 108 of Muppets Tonight, the discussion ends in a poor disagreement between the two creative minds. Clifford comments on the dramatic musical sting made to emphasize the moment, made by the bee with a horn who steps into frame to thank him for the compliment.

The puppet was also used in episode 203 during The Hardy Pig Boys sketch.
