C & P Telephone Co. of VA

Muppets, Inc. produced eleven 10-second ads for C & P Telephone Co. of VA in 1964 and 1965; the ads aired from 1965 to 1968. The ads for Virginia markets starred Mack and Suzy, who made a similar set of ads for Southern Bell Telephone in 1966. Occasionally, Scoop filled in for the latter, as well as Sneegle in one ad.

	Boo and Hiss	Mack forgets to dial 1 for a long-distance call, and is booed by a crowd as a result.
	Boxing Glove	Mack's obliviousness to the long-distance system results in him getting a boxing glove to the face, courtesy of Skip, who is working on a way to keep people from dialing the wrong number.
	Chorus	Scoop, Mack, Suzy, and Sneegle sing about what to do for a short or long distance call over the tune of Can-Can played on a piano.
	Dancing	Mack and Suzy talk about dialing the area code during a dance.
	Get Their Attention	Suzy informs viewers to dial 1 and the area code before making a long-distance call out of Virginia. When Mack asks why she's holding a gun, she explains it's to get their attention.
	Henchman	Mack and his henchman (Scoop) talk about dialing numbers and area codes. Two versions of this ad were filmed.
	Kiss Me	Mack and Suzy discuss dialing numbers under a moonlit sky.
	Monster	Mack makes a long-distance call without dialing 1 first, so Big V appears and swallows him whole.
	Nice Things Happen	Mack tells Suzy that he did use the telephone directory. A heart appears, and flower petals fall from the sky.
