Rowland Emett (1906-1990) was an English artist known for his whimsical kinetic sculptures, some of which appeared in the film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
In the Fraggle Rock episode "Uncle Matt Comes Home", Gobo reads a postcard from Uncle Traveling Matt that bears an image of Emett's sculpture The Featherstone-Kite Openwork Basketweave Mark Two Gentleman’s Flying Machine.
