	SCENE 1	Gordon gives Big Bird clues as to what's under the cloth he's carrying. Big Bird doesn't have much luck guessing correctly and Gordon reveals he has a parakeet in a birdcage.

	SCENE 2	Gordon explains to Big Bird that the parakeet (named Petey) belongs to their friend Maria, who needed someone to watch Petey while she was away. He says he needs to go to the store, but Maria will be along any minute now. Big Bird offers to watch Petey for Gordon. Big Bird tries to make Petey happy by offering him some jellybeans or singing a song; the bird doesn't respond. Big Bird recalls some birds feel happiest when flying, so he opens the cage and releases Petey. He soon realizes this was a mistake as Petey flies out of sight.

	SCENE 3	Maria (Carla Pinza) finally arrives, as she and Gordon discover the cage is empty. Maria believes Petey isn't far away and deduces that he probably flew to a spot where there's birdseed and a nest - Big Bird's nest! Gordon goes inside and, sure enough, returns with Petey in his cage. Maria invites them over to her place for some coffee and birdseed.
	Muppets	Ernie & Bert — During the rain, Ernie stands under an umbrella explaining how the weather makes him feel happy, sad, and mad. Bert has been trying to get under the umbrella with him, telling Ernie that all it has made him feel is wet. Ernie wonders why he doesn't have his umbrella; Bert explains that it's because Ernie is using it. Ernie thanks him and leaves Bert sneezing in the rain. (First: Episode 0137)
