Picture Segment Description

SCENE 1 The show opens with Gordon reading a newspaper on the stoop of 123 Sesame Street and welcoming the viewer to Sesame Street while Elmo runs around saying, "ELMO GOT A LETTER! ELMO GOT A LETTER!" He asks Gordon to read it to him. It is from David. Gordon explains to the audience that David left Sesame Street and moved to the country to take care of his grandmother. Then, Gordon reads the letter, which says:

Dear Elmo,
How are you? Living on a farm is lots of fun. The country is beautiful, the air is fresh and clean, and there are even more horses and cows than there are on Sesame Street.
Love,
David
PS: Say hello to everyone on Sesame Street.

Elmo thinks David meant that P.S. part literally, so he starts saying hello to Gordon and some kids walking by. Gordon tries to explain to Elmo that that was only an expression, but Elmo keeps saying hello to everyone he sees.
