Ghazal Javed is the puppeteer of Chamki on Galli Galli Sim Sim, the Indian co-production of Sesame Street.
Javed has been working in the field of puppetry since 2006, with Galli Galli Sim Sim as her first television role. She has received several awards for her work as Chamki in specific episodes. She co-produced and directed Funda Matlab Piddu Bola for TV Today Network.
Javed graduated with honors with a history degree from Delhi University and is a trained Odissi dancer. She is an assistant director in Mumbai.[1]
In 2016, Javed was a guest speaker at the Women Deliver conference along with Chamki and Sherrie Westin (Sesame Workshop's EVP of Global Impact and Philanthropy).
