The show featured a segment in October 2009, about the Sesame Street Muppets visiting Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? Cookie Monster talks to the program, while his episode and Zoe's are previewed.
On November 9, 2009, Sesame Street was featured on a one-hour episode in celebration of its 40th Anniversary. Joyner conducted interviews with cast and crew, filmed behind-the-scenes on the set and ran archive footage of the show's recent celebrity guests.
Among those featured were Elmo, Cookie Monster, Grover (Frank Oz), Oscar the Grouch, Zoe, Kermit the Frog (from The Hollywood Walk of Fame), Big Bird, Kevin Clash, David Rudman, Joey Mazzarino, Caroll Spinney, Carol-Lynn Parente, Tim Carter, Rollie Krewson, Polly Smith, Anney Fresh, Brian Williams, Fran Brill, Sonia Manzano, Kobe Bryant, Jason Mraz, Matt Lauer, Heidi Klum, Jason Taylor, and John Legend.
Some segments included a tour of the Muppet Workshop, trivia questions for the Muppet characters and questions from fans filmed on Hollywood Boulevard.
