  • In the first verse of the song "Shut Up" off The Bloodhound Gang's 1996 album One Fierce Beer Coaster, frontman Jimmy Pop alludes to The Swedish Chef and his "Børk! Børk! Børk!" catchphrase.

  • The Rap duo's reference heavy debut single "They Want EFX" features the lyrics "I caught a Snuffleupagus and smoked a boogaloo spliff."

  • In the song, "We Are the Weird", which is a parody of the celebrity famine relief single "We Are the World", one of the celebrity impersonators sings in a Kermit-like voice, "We are the weird, but we're not stupid", and then says, "And we're laughing all the way to the bank! Yaaaaayyyyy!"

  • In the music video for their song "Cosa Resterà (In A Song)", two of the band members are seen in a toy store playing with a Kermit hand puppet. Other Muppet and Sesame Street plush/puppets can be seen in the background as well.

Fam-Lay[]

  • In the song "Rock N Roll (Remix)" produced by Pharrell Williams, guest rapper Lil' Flip makes several references to Sesame Street, "The only time you saw a bird was on Sesame Street / I got them Big Birds / and I keep them in my pouch / play with my money and I turn into Oscar the Grouch." Note, that in this context by "bird" he means crack cocaine.

  • The Great Luke Ski wrote a parody of "Who Let The Dogs Out?" by the Baha Men entitled "Who Let the Frog Out?" which is about Kermit the Frog and the Muppets.

  • "One Beer" is about how one beer cause a couple to have a baby at a young age. The song contains the lyric "Sesame Street on the TV."

  • In the third verse of the reference-heavy debut single of "Lookin Boy" by rap group Hot Stylz, guest rapper Young Joc impersonates Elmo's laugh followed by the lyrics "Tickle Me Elmo Lookin Boy."
